Also a big challenge was, what are my family and friends going to think about this? I come from a Muslim background, where energy healing and new age spirituality are not accepted at all. Not something that we would be talking about, let alone creating an entire life and business around. So there was a lot of resistance from my family in terms of, what are you doing, what is this? And then also my fears around what are people going to think. But I knew once I started doing this that I had to keep going, and that this is what I was supposed to bring to the world, and it did not matter what other people thought. But that holds us back so much of the time, and it was holding me back, even though I did not logically or consciously understand that until I was more fully in it. But I had so much resistance because international trade and technology are so respectable. That is something that everyone understands. I had really identified myself as this businesswoman, as this entrepreneur. And even though I had always been very spiritual, I was like, well, I am just spiritual. That is a personal part of who I am. I am not here to bring that out to the world in any way. But it was during that ceremony in Mount Shasta where I really felt and understood, yes, I am a businesswoman, but I am also a healer. I also have these gifts. I also have these intuitive capabilities.
